Mexico Living Home Show In San Felipe

November 17, 2009 - 11:01 am

Baja Bound headed south of the border this past weekend for the Mexico Living Home Show at El Dorado Ranch in San Felipe. The event was really well put together thanks to John and Rachel Pack from Mexico Living, who put in a lot of long hours to ensure the show was a success. We were also lucky to have a picture perfect day in San Felipe for the event… clouds in sight and right around 70 degrees. We met a bunch of great people and made some new friends over the weekend and had an all around great time in Baja. Here are some of the photos from our trip south and the event.

The day after the event we went to Valle de los Gigantes to see the cacti.

Afterwards we had breakfast at Chumpo’s Cafe back in town. The huevos rancheros were excellent!

We stopped by the harbor to checkout the boats and ended up buying over six pounds of fresh shrimp! They were selling one kilo (2.2 pounds) of shrimp for $12!

Heading north on Highway 5.

At the Mexicali border there were still some creepy Dia de los Muertos decorations on the border fence.
