Overland Expo 2010

April 21, 2010 - 4:04 pm

Baja Bound Mexican Insurance made the trek out to Amado, Arizona last weekend for the second annual Overland Expo. The three day event was an adventure travelers dream, with a variety of overlanding workshops and classes as well as a ton of exhibitors offering just about everything you need to get out and see the world by land. The people we met, products we saw and charitable causes we learned about were awesome! Here are some photos from the weekend…

Here are a group of overlanders participating in a round table discussion.

Alexis from American Overland Expedition – They do custom builds and vehicle modifications as well as providing training for off-road driving, recovery and expedition travel.

This Sportsmobile would be pretty amazing for a Baja road trip!

Lance from Disabled Explorers with the custom Sportsmobile for they use for their trips. A big project they are taking on this year is getting Baja legend Coco set up with a set of prosthetic legs that fit him properly. It is going to require a lot of time and money, so donate to Disabled Explorers if you can!

John, Cris and Sergio from Baja Rack showing off their roof rack systems and accessories.

The BMW Motorcycles booth had demo bikes for overlanders to try out. Their booth was pretty busy all weekend long!

Jim from Red Oxx showing off some of the really rugged travel bags they offer. These things are built to endure even the toughest travel situations!

Phil from Expedition Awareness in front of their custom Jeep. Expedition Awareness will be making the trek from New Mexico To Canada along the continental divide to raise awareness for Adrenoleukodystrophy – a neurological disorder affecting Phil’s infant son Brooks.
